Self-Portrait, 1889

Vincent van Gogh painted more than thirty self-portraits. Not out of vanity, but because he could not afford a model, and a mirror was free. In these portraits he practised everything he knew about colour, light and expression. You can see it in the eyes: someone looking with total concentration.

• Knitted, not printed: the design is knitted stitch by stitch into the sock, so the colours stay sharp wash after wash.
• Soft and comfortable: combed organic cotton with a little stretch, a seamless toe and a reinforced heel and toe.
• Two sizes: EU 36-40 and EU 41-46.
• Materials and care: 80% organic cotton, 15% polyamide, 5% elastane. Machine wash at 40°C, do not tumble dry or iron.
