Blue Horse I

Franz Marc painted Blue Horse I in 1911. For Marc, blue stood for the spiritual and the gentle, and his horses became symbols of a purer world. Bold colour, simple forms and strong emotion make this a key work of German Expressionism and of the Blaue Reiter group he co-founded.

• Knitted, not printed: the design is knitted stitch by stitch into the sock, so the colours stay sharp wash after wash.
• Soft and comfortable: combed organic cotton with a little stretch, a seamless toe and a reinforced heel and toe.
• Two sizes: EU 36-40 and EU 41-46.
• Materials and care: 80% organic cotton, 15% polyamide, 5% elastane. Machine wash at 40°C, do not tumble dry or iron.
